5. laste will and testament as foloweth ffirste I bequeathe
6. my Soule to god allmightie and to all the blessed
7. companye in heaven and my bodie to be buried w(ith)in
8. the churchyarde of Sottebie and that the lawe requyie
9. to be my mortuarie Item I bequeathe to Jennett my
10. wyfe one browne quie and one browne cowe with a whyte
11. lehoke and all the goodes that she broughte to me when we
12. weare maryed and iij ewes and iij lambes and one fillie
13. and one Sowe and all my lynnyn and harden cloathe
14. and halfe my copye Item I bequeathe John harryson one
15. whyte cowe and one ewe and a lambe and Jennett my
16. wyfe the halfe the Saltefleshe that we have and my
17. wyfe & children everie one of them one ewe hogge and
18. Isabell Ingall one greate panne and twoo dooblars and

20. of my goodes unbequeathe I geve to John Toxworthe
21. whom I make my full executour and the copie of my

Righton                                   2.    In the year of our Lord God 1561 that I Richard

3. Ryghton in the parish of Sutterby husbandman whole of
4. mind and good of remembrance make this my
5. last will and testament as followeth  First I bequeath
6. my Soul to God Almighty and to all the blessed
7. company in heaven and my body to be buried within
8. the churchyard of Sutterby and that the law requires
9. to be my mortuary  Item I bequeath to Jennett my
10. wife one brown quie and one brown cow with a white
11. lehoke and all the goods that she brought to me when we
12. were married and 3 ewes and 3 lambs and one filly
13. and one sow and all my linnen and harden cloth
14. and half my copy  Item I bequeath John Harryson one
15. white cow and one ewe and a lamb and Jennett my
16. wife the half the Saltflesh that we have and my
17.   wife & children every one of them one ewe hogg and
18. Isabell Ingall one great pan and two doblers and
19. Elizabeth Ingall 2 pewter doblers and the residue
20. of my goods unbequeathed I give to John Toxworthe
21. whom I make my full executor and the copyhold of my
22. house that I lived in during my years and he to
23. give and distribute to the poor three Good Fridays every
24. one day 6s. 8d. and to pay my debts and legacies
25. and to bring honestly to the ground  Item I bequeath
26. to Jennette my wife half an oxgang of land and
27. meadow with it and a little house in the garth and she
