Will, John Rhoades of Sutterby 10th November 1792
Classical Transcription
- In the Name of God Amen I John Rhoades of Sutterby in
- the County of Lincoln Farmer Do make this my Last Will and Testament
- in sound and disposing Mind and Memory though weak in Body in form
- and Manner following that is to say. First I give and bequeath unto my
- Daughter Elizabeth two hundred pounds of good and lawful money
- of Great Britain to be paid her when she shall attain the age of twenty
- one Years by my Executors hereafter mentioned. Also I give and bequeath
- unto my daughter Jane two hundred pounds of good and lawful money of
- Great Britain to be paid her when she shall attain the age of twenty one
- Years by my Executors hereafter mentioned. Also I give and bequeath
- unto my Son Joseph two hundred pounds of good and lawful money
- of Great Britain to be paid him when he shall attain the age of twenty
- one Years by my Executors hereafter mentioned, and also my mind
- and will is that my said son Joseph <shall have> an additional thirty pounds to be
- paid him also by my hereafter mentioned Executors of good and
- lawful money of Great Britain, Also I give and bequeath unto my
- Brother William Rhoades five Ginneas of good and lawful money
- of Great Britain to be paid him at my decease by my Executors
- hereafter mentioned, lastly I do hereby make and ordain my dearly
- beloved Wife Mary and my Son John joint Executors of this my last
- will and Testament after payment of the above Legacies as they shall
- as above become due. And Also I do hereby appoint and ordain Mr. George
- Dowse of Lusby and Mr. Robert Cousins of Stickford both in the County
- of Lincoln Trustees and to act as such in full power in behalf of
- my afore mentioned Wife and Children according to their best and
- joint knowledge In all and every particular till their fortunes or Legacies
- shall become due and they of proper and lawful Age as above, and I do
- hereby acknowledge this and no other to be my last Will and Testament
- and also do hereby revoke and disannull all other Wills and bequests
- by me before made and bequeathed In Witness whereof Thereunto add my hand
- and seal this tenth day of November and in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven
- hundred and ninety two
- Signed and sealed in the presence of us and in the presence John Rhoades
- of each other the words (shall have) being left out in the HIS
- fourteen line of this will SEAL
