On Saturday 22nd June 2024 at 1400hrs, we held a Service at St John the Baptist Church, Sutterby, to recognise and honour the Patronal Day of our little church. It was led by Father Peter Coates along with his “blue tooth speaker” containing a church organ and choir.
There were readings by Julia Brocklehurst and Kate Witney. It was a pleasing service deserving of our little church and enjoyed by all present. Afterwards we went to Langton Village Hall for refreshments. As it is soon to be to Kate Witney’s (the Sutterby Song Bird) Birthday she was presented with a pre birthday cake, Father Peter was invited to sign the Sutterby Apron.
