The 2024/2025 Series of Sandwich Filler Talks got underway today with a talk by Ian Marshman entitled “The history and heritage of local folklore and tales.”
Ian entertained us with tales collected by the Reverend James Alpass Penny who had written 2 books based around Horncastle. He described the areas from which the tales were based and read extracts from the books detailing the local tales.
The talk was well attended, and everybody enjoyed it. Many thanks to Ian for his well-planned and delivered talk, we hope you will return.
