On Tuesday, 9th December 2025 in Franklin Hall, Spilsby, we had a lunchtime “sandwich filler” talk by Nicola Hallam MSc. on The Lincolnshire Rising. It was an excellent talk, well researched and presented by Nicola and the audience in the full hall enjoyed it.
There were lists of those taking part in the Rising, their professions and where they lived in the county, along with in some cases where the information was found. There was a day-by-day record of events for some of the towns that started it and how it progressed, leading up to its conclusion, the outcome and fall out.
There were many screenshots from the talk, I have included a few to give a taste of what was a great presentation. Very well done Nicola, this the second talk we have had by you, and we look forward to any more you have in the future. Thank you very much.
