On19th June 2026, in the Franklin Hall, Spilsby. We had the pleasure of welcoming back Dr Kevin Leahy, National Adviser to the Portable Antiquities Scheme, with his talk entitled “Stone Age Finds: new research, new Knowledge.”
Flint and stone finds hold a unique place in the archaeological record. They were made with great skill and effort and provide a fascinating insight into the cultures which produced them.
After cutting the themed cake made by the “Artisan Baker of Firsby”, signing the Sutterby Apron, Kevin gave us a very interesting and informative talk loosely based around his latest book and some of his many fascinating memories of his life as an archaeologist.
