Yesterday was our annual Christmas celebration of carols and readings in St John the Baptist, Sutterby. It was a bright sunny, cold day, but the climb up the hill to the church soon warmed us up! Father Peter led the celebration with readings from Sue Holmes, Julia Brocklehurst and Denise Wheatley, the Sutterby Songbird Kate Witney sang for us.
Afterwards we retired to the Langton Village Hall for hot mull, tea, coffee and of course cake and a chat. The Artisan Baker of Firsby supplied the cakes. Kate read a Christmas Ditty for us
